My husband has been wanting to go on an RV trip for as long as I can remember. I’m an outdoorsy person. I love adventure. I love hiking, forests, sleeping in cabins, wandering mountain trails.
But RV life?
For some reason, it has never called to me. There’s just...so much stuff.
So much troubleshooting. So many buttons. So many compartments.
So many systems that everyone else seems to instinctively understand.
Water systems. Sewer systems. Electrical systems. Propane systems.
Pumps. Hookups. Hoses.
It felt like every ten minutes I asked him, “Is it working yet?”
And maybe most of all, when I go into the wilderness, I like the feeling of being alone with it. There’s something about being tucked into an RV park where everyone can watch your husband pull into the parking spot…back up…pull forward…back up again…that doesn’t exactly match the image I have in my head of peaceful nature.
We watched this clip after he finally got the RV parked. It was laughter therapy after the stressful moment. :)
As the weekend unfolded, I found myself riding quite the emotional roller coaster.
